Want to see more? Love to have wind in your hair? Then this one is definitely for you! Let’s enjoy the city on a bicycle! Starting from the city heart at “Ploshad’ Vosstaniya” underground station we’ll pass through the city center, which often stays hidden from the eyes of tourists, though it can tell you a lot about informal “Piter”. We will cross magnificent Fontanka river and its low dives and explore the city channels: Griboedov channel with its nice bridges, all of which have their personal history; Kryukov channel, which will bring us to the last summer’s grand-opening, New Holland – an artificial island, which used to be a port, a jail and now is the most fashionable summer spot! Then we suggest hitting the embankments to prove all the sayings about the “granite fetters” of the city. Meanwhile we’ll remember the brave deeds of the Decembrists – 19th century romantic democrats on Senatskaya Square. Senatskaya could also be a nice place for a light picnic for those who would like to have some snack, like a true local watching St Isaac’s cathedral or the Academy of Arts and St. Petersburg State University. After that we’ll (probably) pass crowds of tourists, waiting in 2-3 hour lines to enter the Hermitage, and keep on enjoying our ride along Neva! And where do we finish the ride? Check it out!
