Less the an hour from Porto you will visit a 500 year old manor home (quinta) in the Sousa Valley, between the Minho and Douro provinces. This region, famous for its unique vinho verde wine, translating literally to "green wine, " was demarcated in 1908 to produce this highly regarded drink. At the manor home, after a tour of the estate, you will engage in a traditional cooking class of authentic flavours with fresh seasonal products, prepared specially for you by the Chef. After you will enjoy The delicious meal you've learned to cook accompanied by wine. Your next stop will be to a world renowned vineyard and wine estate to learn more about this special grape and the production of the wine, finishing with a tasting of the sparkly nectar paired with some local cheese! The tour concludes upon return to the ship or hotel.
