Annapurna Circuit Trek is very popular Trek with it’s varied of walking from the green valley to the barren valley. Many different landscapes give you a perfect test of walking which begins from Besisahar (after seven hours bus ride from Kathmandu) less than 1000m to the high Thorang La pass 5416 m. This trek offers spectacular views of snow covered mountains with Tibetan plateau of dry barren valley. Before the high pass the trek leads you through the Marsyangdi valley passing through the paddy fields, waterfalls, rocky cliffs, subtropical forest with the finest views of Himalayas such as Mt. Manaslu, Himal chuli,Gangapurna, Annapurnas and many more peaks. After the pass this trek leads through the Kaligandaki valley which has world’s deepest George en route between Dhaulagiri and Annapurnas which is lifetime adventure. A beautiful Hot-Spring gives you perfect relaxation after big walk at Tatotapni which believes to wash all sin according to Hindu mythology. The most interesting thing is different ethnic group en route which inhabited by wide variety and diversity of the people and their lifestyle. Thus, this trek gives you a perfect glimpse of different ethnic culture and different Himalaya scenery with different angels and perspective. Day 1: Arrival day (1,300m/4,264 ft) Upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, we will welcome you and assist you to the Hotel. We can meet later on that day or the next day to take you to our head office to brief you on your upcoming Trek with us. At that time we will introduce you to your trekking guide and Sherpa. If your flight arrives on time, we will take you to one of the most popular local restaurants with delicious Nepalese food, cultural music and ethnic dance. This will give you a glimpse into the different ethnic groups of the country. If you arrive late in the evening we can do this the next day. Overnight stay at the hotel. Day 2: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and trek preparation (1,300m/4,264 ft) After breakfast, you will begin a city tour of Kathmandu where you will see the main attractions of the valley. On this tour you will visit the Boudhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath temple, Swyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square (the old palace). After finishing the city tour, we will meet again to check your clothing and trekking equipment (sleeping bag, down jacket and trekking boots). This evening will be spent in Kathmandu. Day 3: Drive to Besisahar (760m/2,493ft) 7 hours Our guide will meet you at the hotel as per departure time and takes you to the bus station where your journey starts towards west of Kathmandu through Prithivi highway till Dumre. After that the road turns towards north to Besisahar. This is an excellent drive which has interesting scenery of the Mountains, Rivers, waterfalls and Jungle as well as farm terraces and village on the mountains. Stay overnight at the lodge. Day 4: Trek to Bahundanda (1,398m/45,86ft) 6 and half hours Your first day of the trek begins after breakfast at the lodge which is an easy walk at the beginning through the dusty road towards north of the valley and ends at Bhulbhule before crossing the suspension bridge over Marsyangdi River. One the way you will enjoy the view of Mt. Manaslu and Nagdi Chuli including many waterfalls and Gurung village. After that the trail leads uphill to Bahundanda for overnight stay. Day 5: Trek to Chamje (1,410m/4,625ft) 5-6 hours After breakfast at the lodge, the trail drops steep down to the bottom of the hill and few up downs to Syange to cross suspension bridge. There is mind-blowing view of waterfall at Syange. Then the trail continue leads few uphill and few down hills to Chamje. Stay overnight at the lodge. Day 6: Trek to Bagarchhap(2,080m/6,824ft) 6 and half hours At the beginning of the day the trail drops down to the river to cross the bridge and continue climbs along the river bank to Tal Phedi. There is a short steep climb to get to the Tal and an easy walk through the valley. Tal is a first village of Manang District which is located on the bank of the Marsyangdi River has typical entrance gate which is influences by Tibetan culture. Then the trail continues up and down to Dharapani village and continues up to Bagarchhap for overnight. Day 7: Trek to Chame (2,720m/8,923ft) 5 hours After hot breakfast at the lodge the trail slightly climbs up to Danaque from where you will enjoy the view of Mt.Manaslu. There are two ways to get in to the next village but we will take you through the higher route which has an excellent view of mountains and passing through the old village of Tyanja. Then easy walk through the pine forest to Chame which is district headquarter of Manang. Stay overnight at the lodge. (There is small hot spring on the bank of river where you can get in to it for relaxation) Day 8: Trek to Pissang (3,060m/10,039ft) 5 hours The trail leads uphill to the narrow valley to cross a metal bridge over the River and climb up to Dhukure Pokhari. This is wide valley from where you will see the valley where you will have to walk further to get on the top of the high pass of Thorang La. After easy walk you will get in t Pissang for overnight. Once you get in to the lodge, we suggest you to walk to the pretty village at upper Pissang which helps to get acclimatize. Stay overnight at the lodge. Day 9: Trek to Manang (3,440m/11,286ft) 5 hours There is two different routes to get in to Manang from Pissang. The higher route leads through the interesting village and mind blowing views of Annapurnas but a bit longer and harder. The lower route is easier walking through the valley. Here we do suggest you walk through the higher route but you have an option. The higher village leads you through the Gharu village which is old Tibetan village having very old Gompa (Gompa is a place where people go for meditation). Stay overnight in Manang at a lodge. Day 10: Acclimatization day You will have a lazy day today. It does not mean that you remain at the lodge all the day. There are some side trips which is very essential to do. Either you go to walk up to the ridge nearby Gangapurna glacier or hike up to the cave which is higher than Manang village which helps further day to get acclimatized. You spend you remaining of the day by walking around the village or you can watch movie or reading books to kill your time. Day 11: Trek to Lader (4,230m/13,877ft) 5 and half hours At the beginning the trail climbs up to the ridge of upper Manang and turns around to climb up to Lader. Today, you will enjoy the panoramic views of Annapurnas, Gangapurna and many more peaks en route. This is an easy day compare other trekking days due to the altitude which is very essential to climb short distance. Stay overnight at the lodge. Day 12: Trek to Thorang Phedi (4,450m/14,599ft) 4 hours After easy walk at the beginning the trail drops down to the river to cross wooden bridge and climbs up to the tea shop. After having a short ret at the tea shop the trail continue leads to the Phedi through the cliff. Once you are at Phedi, if you feel great you can continue to the high camp to make easy day next day or you can decide once you are there with the help of our trek leader. Day 13: Trek to Muktinath via Thorang La (3,760m/12,335ft) 8 hours Today is the biggest day of the entire trip to cross Thorang la pass which starts early morning before sunrise. If you stop at Phedi you start an hour earlier so that you can to the top of the pass before 10 am which is the perfect time before wind blows violently. After short photo break on the top, you drop long way down to Muktinath. The literal meaning of Muktinath is God of Salvation in Hindu mythology. It is believe that once you visit this temple you will wash all your bad spirit or to you will wash your sin. According to Budhism Muktinath means place of Nirvana. It is very popular and scared pilgrimage site for Hindu and Bhuddist. There are 108 water spouts around the temple which believe holy water so that hindu takes bath over 108 water taps. There are Lakhang and Gonde gompa nearby one with Jawala mai, natural gas one from the water, one from the rock and one from the soil which you can see inside the temple. Day 14: Trek to Marpha (3,500m/11,482ft) 6 hours The trail descent to the Kaligandaki valley and leads through the bank of the holy river where you may find Fossils called Shaligram a part of Lord Bishnu. Once you cross Jomsom, the windy valley, the trail continue leads you through the bank of the river to get in to Marpha. It is pretty village with its village settlement and huge Monastery. Marpha is very popular for Apple where many apple orchid as well as apple brandy factory which you can visit. Stay overnight at the lodge. Day 15: Trek to Ghasa (2,010m/6,594ft) 6 hours The trail drops slightly down to Marpha via kalopani. On the way you will enjoy the views of panoramic magnificent views of Annapurnas, Nilgiri,Dhaulagiri and Tukuche peak. You will also see breath taking view of Dhaulagiri Ice fall on the way. Most of the walking is along the kaligandaki River all the way to Ghasa. Stay overnight at the lodge. Day 16: Trek to Tatopani (1,190m/3,904ft) 4 hours Once you cross stone paved trail of the Ghasa village, the trail drops down to the river to cross suspension bridge and walking through the rocky cliff then continue drops to Rupse waterfall which is the biggest water fall en route. After that the trail leads you through the deepest George in the world at Dana which is very interesting walking through. You will be hurry to get in to Tatopani to get in to the hot spring for relaxation. Enjoy Hot Spring remaining of the day and overnight at the lodge. Day 17: Trek to Ghorepani (3,194m/10,479ft) 7-8 hours After hot breakfast at the lodge, the trail continues to the river to cross the bridge and leads uphill through stone steep to the ridge and slightly uphill to Sikha village. Then the trail continues climbs up to Ghorepani through the forest of Rhododendron to the top of the ridge at Ghorepani. Stay overnight at the lodge. Day 18: Hike to Poon Hill and Trek to Pokhara (1,890m/6,200ft) 7 hours Wake up early morning for Sunrise excursion to Poon Hill which is an hour walk from the lodge. After having sunrise and taking photographs from the top of Poon Hill, you drop down to the lodge for breakfast and continue walk down to Banthanti through the forest. Then the trail continues drops to Nayapul where your trek ends. After an hour drive from Nayapul you will get in to the Pokhara and check in to the hotel. You may enjoy your last dinner with your trekking members in Pokhara. Stay overnight at Hotel. Day 19: Drive to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft) 7 hours After breakfast at the hotel proceeds to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus (By flight an option). It is interesting driving through Prithivi Highway. Afternoon arrive in Kathmandu hotel. We will like to receive your valuable comments of the trip so that we will organize a dinner together by the time we will share experience. Stay overnight at the hotel. Day 20: Departure day. Today is the last day of the trip with us. If you would like to extend your holiday with us, we will help you if you require otherwise we will assist you to the airport as per your flight departure time. If your flight is late evening, you can do last minute shopping or manage your photos of the trip then final departure from the airport.
