The meeting point should be in Piazza Giulio Cesare around 9:00 in front of the train station. From there, we move through Ballarò market to experience the food and folklore of one of the most interesting open air market of Italy. Then we move to the old city's walls of Porta sant'Agata, Porta Montalto and Porta Mazara. Here we reach San Giovanni degli Eremiti a church considered as a typical exemple of arabic norman's architecture. In front of the church, we arrive to Palace of Normans the first citycentre of Palermo. Here we have a break to eat something in a typical bakery and then we start the second step of our visit entering in Porta Nuova, The cathedral, Palazzo Riso, The four corners ( quattro canti) The citytown building and San Cataldo church. We go forward to reach Piazza Marina and the walking walls of "Le Cattive" where you can have a great view of the old harbour. The final step for the day is the park of "Villa Giulia" where we can see the beautiful fountain above called the genius of Palermo. Here we can have lunch in the nearest eatery and go to second part of the afternoon walking which will start from the royal door , Via Alloro the boulevard of the nobles where we can find the regional museum of Abatellis, The Spasimo Church and Sant'Anna nodern art gallery. At this point we reach Via Roma and we could have an happy hour at the Vucciria market or in Teatro Biondo . This tour wil take a whole morning and afternoon to finish around 20-21 pm. It is not so long walk but quite interesting to have a typical panoramic of the city and to experience also the original recipes, monuments and atmosphere of the old Palermo.
