We start our tour on Kaptol, in front of cathedral. Passing through Dolac, the central market, we arrive to Tkalciceva Street, a jolly place of many bars and restaurants. We will climb up to Gradec and visit the Stone Gate, once the main entrance to this medieval town of merchants and craftsmen and today a little sanctuary to the Virgin Mary. At the end of our climb there is St Mark's Church with colourful roof with coats of arms of Zagreb and the medieval Kingdom of Croatia. Here we will also see the Palace of the Government and the Croatian Parliament. Passing by the Museum of Naive Art and Catherine's Church our way leads us to Lotrscak Tower and its famous canon that daily with a bang announces noon to the citizens of Zagreb and their guests. Zagreb's funicular connects Zagreb's Upper with Lower Town. A short walk in the Lower Town will introduce you Ilica, famous shopping street 6km long. The Flower Square is also nearby as well as Zagreb's main square of Ban Josip Jelacic.
